QT Fashion Week- Day 4 Swimwear

Friday night meant one thing for QT Fashion Week and that was swimwear night. The whole evening revolved around showcasing up and coming swimwear designers and i was lucky enough to get a front row seat!

The first event featured Saucy Rose, Peony, La Biquini, Muchacho, Carmel Simone and Mijanou, each having its own distinct look.

 Saucy Rose

Saucy Rose were up first with a very flirty look incorporating pink floral patterns and ruffles. Some pieces could have been mistaken as underwear rather than swimwear but even so it was an absolutely gorgeous collection.

 Peony

Peony was next with a selection of floral bandeau style tops and small bikini bottoms. This was a simple yet girly collection that i can see appealing to a large number of girls. I particulary love the ruffle top, especially as a girl with not much up top, this will attract attention away from that and give the effect that i have more than i do. Score :)

La Biquini

A great collection for the more daring person who doesn't want the usual floral patterned swimwear that we usually see. I love the bright colours and the originality although it is not something i would usually pick out.

Muchacho

A professional salsa dancer opened the show which gave us a taste of what to come from the Bondi based designer. The theme continued with a selection of amazing head pieces and stunning prints of beaches on the swimwear. Even some of the models got into the spirit and showed off their salsa moves. We were also treated to a bit of eye candy with a show of the mens range!

Carmel Simone

This collection is great for any girl who is a bit more self conscious about their body. The high waisted bottoms will suck you in and disguise the love handles and tummy and the swimsuit will do the same yet cover even more, whilst still offering a sexy look as it exposes all the way down the middle. The swimsuit is probably better suited to a smaller girl as there is no upper support so the balconette top in the first picture will be more suitable.

 Mijanou

I loved the hippy look in this collection. The tassells although not exactly practical were completely different to what i have seen before and would be perfect for festivals.

 My goody bag

White Sands

The second show of the night kicked off with White Sands, the only established designer of the day. I felt this was similar to Peony, with the pastel florals and girly nature. This was right up my street. I adore this collection! I love the cute ruffles and patterns, and the colours are the ones i am always drawn to for bikinis for their summery nature.

 KS Swim

The last show of the night was KS Swim. The collection featured an unusual design of Egyptian Hieroglyphics so just slightly different to the usual patterns we see! To be honest i am not too keen on these designs, i feel the Hieroglyphics are just placed on top of the striped patterns rather than incorporated into them.

 My amazing goody bag

Biore face wipe, shower gel sachet, black energy drink, face cream, magazine, voucher, suntan lotion and a bellabox (see below to see whats inside!)

This is by far the best gift in all the goody bags and its in such a cute box! There is a travel size batisse dry shampoo (absolute life saver), John Frieda frizz ease, lip gloss, Swisse hand cream, lip liner, Lancome face sample and toe separators.

QT Fashion Week- Day 3 Talulah and Minty Meets Munt

On day three there were two sittings so after the first show we sorted and distributed more gift bags then chilled before the much anticipated show of the night. We were all excited for this show, which featured two established designers one being Talulah. Known for her 'Feminine, bold, flirtatious… with a touch of sparkle' this show did not disappoint. Featuring swimwear, dresses and smart casual outfits it was a great mix of styles. The prints were bold and colourful and a great way to add an edge to your outfits, whilst the dresses were fitted and sexy and definitely will not being going out of fashion any time soon! I loved the sheer material of the tops, especially for summer as they are so easy to wear and light and teamed with the floral bottoms offered a girly eye catching look.

Next up was Minty Meets Munt, a Sydney-based womenswear label. Known for her 'bold prints, love of colour and unique design skill sees Minty Meets Munt consistently deliver collections that are fun, feminine and bang on trend'. This again was a very cute girly collection, and i could see myself in most pieces like i could from the Talulah show. Two pieces in particular stood out to me, the first being the dress below on the right (white dress with blue floral panelling). The shape was great and the floral panel down the middle was so pretty, I definitely want that in my wardrobe! The second was the maxi dress, I love the colours and pattern and the slit down the side offers a slightly different look to most other maxi dresses that you see.

What are your thoughts of the show, do you like the collections? Any pieces you would love in your wardrobe?
